Designing Green Cities in Málaga

Project Details

Twelve students from the Vasil Levski High School in Blagoevgrad embarked on a transformative journey to Málaga, merging Bulgarian architectural tradition with Mediterranean innovation. Immersed in the landscape architecture sector, our participants mastered the technical bridge between field measurements and digital design. They navigated the intricate stages of urban planning, starting with precise tachimeter readings to capture slope variations and critical points of interest. Back in the studio, the team translated raw field data into sophisticated topographic bases, calculating complex coordinates and importing EXCEL datasets into AutoCAD. By integrating Landsdesign, they evolved flat surveys into vivid 2D and 3D models of sustainable green spaces. Beyond the software, they learned to craft professional reports, ensuring every park project is documented with precision and foresight.

Bridging the gap between raw topographic data and lush, digital landscape design in the heart of Spain.

Participants returned with a profound grasp of modern landscape methodology. They now command the full lifecycle of green area projects, from identifying site characteristics to executing complex 2D and 3D visualizations. Mastery of tools like AutoCAD, Excel, and Landdesigner allows them to mitigate measurement errors and perform rigorous mathematical calculations. This mobility refined their ability to interpret orthophotos and draft technical reports, equipping these future architects with the digital and analytical fluency required to shape the sustainable cities of tomorrow.
