Eight students from Srednja strukovna škola Vinkovci traveled to Málaga to expand their vocational expertise. Two dressmaking trainees refined their skills in pattern cutting, fabric repair, and garment construction using specialized machinery. Three receptionists managed guest arrivals, handled bookings, and provided professional administrative support within the tourism sector.
One participant focused on housekeeping, ensuring high standards of room maintenance, facility organization, and sanitation. Another student specialized in painting, mastering surface preparation, scaffolding assembly, and the application of diverse coatings on interior and exterior structures.
Finally, the culinary trainee engaged in food preparation, recipe execution, and kitchen safety. They mastered ingredient handling, adjusted cooking techniques to local specialties, and managed kitchen equipment, ensuring quality service and proper maintenance of all culinary tools throughout their stay.
International experience empowered these students with technical precision, cross-cultural communication skills, and a deeper understanding of industry-standard professional workflows.
Participants gained comprehensive technical mastery in their respective fields. Dressmakers learned sustainable textile properties, receptionists navigated hotel management software, and housekeeping staff mastered safety protocols. Painters acquired advanced surface treatment techniques, while the culinary trainee developed proficiency in local gastronomy and food service standards.
Beyond technical skills, the cohort developed essential soft skills, including professional customer interaction, workplace collaboration, and the ability to adapt to diverse international environments. These competencies significantly enhanced their future employability.
