Sixteen students from the 'Prof. d-r. Georgi Pavlov' Vocational High School of Veterinary Medicine in Dobrich, Bulgaria, are undertaking a transformative professional mobility program in Málaga. The participants are divided into two specialized tracks. Those in animal care assistance focus on vital husbandry tasks, including feeding, cage sanitation, safe animal handling, and environmental monitoring. They actively monitor animal behavior, administer medication, and collect data to ensure optimal welfare. Meanwhile, the laboratory analysis group engages in rigorous scientific practice. They master laboratory equipment, adhere to strict safety protocols, and prepare chemical solutions. Their technical responsibilities include sampling, conducting physicochemical tests, determining substance acidity, and systematically analyzing experimental results to develop precision in diagnostic procedures.
Bridging academic theory with clinical practice to cultivate technical proficiency and ethical responsibility in veterinary science.
Participants acquire critical competencies in animal welfare, including hygiene, preventive medicine, and confident handling techniques. They learn to navigate complex ethical landscapes and maintain focus during distressing clinical situations. Laboratory trainees gain expertise in sterilization, sample analysis, and water hardness determination. Collectively, these students develop essential team-working skills and organizational discipline, ensuring they are prepared for the demands of the modern veterinary and laboratory sectors through hands-on experience and professional rigor.
