Six dedicated students from Kiipula Vocational College embarked on a transformative journey to Málaga, immersing themselves in the heart of Spanish elder care. Within bustling nursing homes and day centers, they stepped into vital roles, bridging cultures through compassion and professional commitment.
Daily life involved hands-on support, from monitoring nutrition and physical activity to preparing residents for essential medical tests. The group became an integral part of the clinical team, meticulously handling resident documentation and providing direct care, including wound care, injections, and medication administration under expert supervision.
Beyond clinical duties, these students offered warmth and companionship, accompanying seniors in their everyday activities. Every interaction became a testament to their dedication, proving that care transcends language barriers when guided by empathy and a shared human spirit.
