Sevilla Healthcare Internship

Project Details

Fifteen dedicated students from Zdravstvena škola Split embarked on a transformative journey to Sevilla, immersing themselves in the heart of Spanish elder care. Within bustling nursing homes and vibrant day centres, they embraced the profound responsibility of supporting our seniors. Every day brought new opportunities to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who needed it most.

Our trainees took charge of essential health monitoring, balancing nutritional needs with carefully planned physical activities. Under the watchful guidance of expert doctors, they administered vital medications, prepared residents for medical evaluations, and performed precise wound care. Whether giving injections or meticulously managing clinical documentation, the group operated with unwavering focus and professional grace.

Beyond technical duties, our students became daily companions for the elderly, offering warmth and presence during routine activities. This experience transformed textbook knowledge into real-world empathy, as they navigated the complexities of clinical life while forging deep, meaningful connections with their patients in the sun-drenched streets of Sevilla.

Bridging cultures through compassionate care, our students turned clinical practice into a journey of human connection and professional mastery in the heart of Spain.

The experience instilled a sophisticated grasp of clinical safety, from precise medication administration to the nuances of archiving patient records. Beyond technical skill, our trainees mastered the art of gentle, polite care, ensuring that every interaction remained dignified and supportive even during medical emergencies.

Equipped with a profound understanding of ethical and legal standards, these future healthcare leaders returned home with renewed confidence. They mastered the essential instruments of their trade and learned how to act with decisive, compassionate expertise within any professional health environment.
