Smart Green Building & AI Design

Project Details

Twenty students from the Vocational High School of Construction, Architecture and Computer Science "Prof. Arch. Stefan Stefanov" in Montana, Bulgaria, embarked on a professional mobility project in Sevilla focused on Smart Green Building and AI Design. The internship structure began with an orientation to the institutional environment and professional workplace standards. Participants engaged in a rigorous curriculum centered on AutoCAD, where they learned to master layers, wall structures, and interior layouts. The training progressed into functional design, where students organized home elements to balance aesthetic appeal with spatial efficiency. Furthermore, the program introduced bioclimatic housing principles, teaching students to integrate sustainable design into their projects. The final phase involved the application of Revit and IoT concepts, culminating in the configuration of smart home systems and the presentation of a final project demonstrating technical proficiency.

Mastering the synergy between bioclimatic architectural design and intelligent automation systems to create sustainable, future-ready living environments.

Upon completion, participants possess a deep understanding of bioclimatic design, distinguishing between passive insulation techniques and active building systems. They have gained proficiency in managing architectural layers in AutoCAD and optimizing wall structures based on orientation. The trainees can design detailed interior layouts and effectively integrate smart home technologies within a BIM environment. By exploring automation tools like Alexa and their interaction with IoT devices, students are now equipped to apply high-level technical skills to modern, sustainable construction challenges.
